Traditional Implants VS. Mini Implants

Getting regular dental implants takes at least 3 months (often longer) and require a minimum of two dental appointments. Sometimes they require additional visits for bone-grafting so there is enough bone for the implant to be attached to. Some patients are not able to undergo invasive surgery and repeated dental appointments, or have lost too much bone mass in their jaws to receive traditional implants.

Mini Implants on the other hand, require no invasive surgery, can be installed in jaws with very little bone left (due to their small size) and are much quicker (as fast as 2 weeks). To install mini implants, dentists use local anesthesia without any sutures in one or two visits that take around 20 minutes or 2 hours, depending on the number of teeth being replaced.

The best part about mini implants is that they can be put to use immediately after having them installed!
