There are many different types of dental implants used within the dental industry. There are the traditional two piece implants that require invasive surgery and the more advanced, less invasive mini dental implants. At Paramount Dental Care we use the less invasive one piece mini dental implants because of the many advantages it has over traditional implants. The mini dental implants that we are intra-lock mini dental implants. They are made of titanium alloy with OSSEAN® surface. OSSEAN® surface is a technology that extensively alters the healing process by modifying the chemical properties and the surface structure of an object. During the process of making OSSEAN® , the surface is treated and impregnated with calcium phosphate at the molecular level that makes integration with bone easier, faster and better. This is one of the main reasons behind the rapid healing process of mini dental implants and why in most cases there is no need for a bone graft.
